Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position at UH Mānoa - Applications Due by November 3rd

Dear Hawai'i MFT Community,

The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa is currently seeking applicants for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in Multicultural Marriage and Family Resilience within the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR), Department of Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS), Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) program. The position will begin on August 1, 2025, and applications are being accepted until November 3rd.

This role is especially exciting because the successful candidate will work closely with me to help further develop our Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) program. We seek someone with strong organizational skills who can significantly influence the program's growth and future COAMFTE accreditation efforts.

We seek candidates with a strong research agenda, experience working with diverse student populations, and a commitment to supporting family resilience in multicultural contexts. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate courses in human development and family life education, with the potential to teach graduate-level courses in MFT.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Doctorate from a college or university of recognized standing in Marriage and Family Therapy, Human Development & Family Science, Family Social Science, or closely related field. ABD candidates may be considered, but all degree requirements must be completed at the time of hire.
